Wow its been a long time since I've been on here! How does time go by so quickly?
We just had the biggest pug club meetup ever tonight. It was insane! We had over 40 people there, plus all the pugs.
I got to see my little Lexi (Roxi) tonight. She was one of the puppies we went out to Lexington to get back in October. She's grown so much, but still remembers Whitney (my sister) and me:) She is a great dog and in a wonderful house!
There were quite a few of the rescue pugs there tonight. We had Millie there she was from a puppymill down in Kansas. Our good rescue friends Alma and Kent brought her to Omaha. They had just given her to me and I put her leash on and was telling Matt that 'all puppy mill dogs are flight risk.' Just as I was going to set her on the ground to go potty. As soon as she hit the ground she was off running! Matt and Alma sprinted off for her and luckily caught her. So that was a huge lesson I learned that night about rescue pugs- always use a strong secure harness!
Buddy was also there. He came in the same night as Millie did. His foster family ended up falling head over heels for him and adopted him. Now they have two pugs, Buddy and C-mor. Cute names:)
Sydney was also there tonight. He was one of the four puppy mill pugs that Si, Matt and I got from down in Kirksville, MO. He was the only male. And the only naughty one, he had an accident on the way back;) Thank goodness for old towels and sheets!
Cade and Ben got to come out to their first pug club meetup. They seemed ok after a while. When they first came Cade (I think it was Cade) was shaking in Si's arms. He was so scared, but the next time I saw him he was running around chasing everyone.
It was a great time! Rocky had fun as usual. Lily was just happy to go home. She's kind of a home body. They are all sleeping right now:)
Dogtopia is an awesome place for meetups. They have a ton of room and its very nice and clean. I got some good pics and will have to get them posted up here soon.
Toby got adopted on this past Sunday. He is very happy and his new home. I miss him a lot, but I know that its best for Toby to be where he is. I couldn't ask for a better family to be with him.
I'm off to bed. Its been a long fun filled day! The pugs are literally begging me to go to bed. :)

Wow it is exhausting to walk 3 pugs! It was a beautiful day here and I decided to take all 3 of the puggers out for a nice ole' walk. It was nice, but Lily doesn't really walk well on a leash. She tends to just go around in circles, which makes it exhausting to go for a walk with her. We had a nice time and saw a pug in the neighborhood that we hadn't seen before:)
After being sick for 3 days today was wonderful! I came down with some gross bug on my birthday:( Then to make it better I passed it on to Matt and Whitney (my sister). Everyone is all better for the most part. We are so lucky to have 3 cozy pugs to help get us well.
We are sitting her watching Private Practice and there was a baby crying and Rocky just growled. He's always been like that. When babies cry Rocky barks. Its very cute now, but I imagine someday when we have a baby of our own it won't be quite as cute;)
Pug Rescue is going great and we are on our way to be a 501(c)(3) organization. We are doing ok on funds right now, but can always use the donations. It will be nice to have our official number so that people can write off their donations.
